Ghost Can Sleeve Care Guide: Keeping Your Sleeve in Good Shape
Share
Your Ghost Can Sleeve is 3D-printed, which means it's a little different from a can wrap made of fabric or rubber. A couple of easy habits will keep it fitting well for a long time.
The number one rule: keep it away from heat
Because the sleeve is 3D-printed, high heat is its main enemy. That includes:
- Leaving it in a hot car, especially in direct sun
- Sitting it right next to a stove, heater, or other heat source
- Any prolonged exposure to high temperatures
Heat can cause the opening of the sleeve to shrink, which makes it harder to fit back onto your can. If you're heading out on a hot day, it's worth taking the sleeve off your can and packing it somewhere cooler rather than leaving it in the car.
Hand-clean it
Give your sleeve a wipe or a quick hand-clean when it needs it, rather than tossing it somewhere it could sit in standing water or heat. A soft cloth is all it usually takes.
Storage between uses
When you're not using your ghost sleeve, store it somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight. A drawer or shelf works fine — just avoid anywhere that heats up, like a car dashboard or a windowsill that gets a lot of afternoon sun.
Matching it to the right can
A sleeve that seems like it "doesn't fit right" is often just matched to the wrong can size. The Ghost Can Sleeve comes in 7.5 oz mini, 8.4 oz slim, 8.4 oz Alani, 12 oz slim, 12 oz standard, and 16 oz. Double-check your can's size before assuming something's wrong with the sleeve — and remember the 8.4 oz Alani option fits the 8.4 oz can only, not the 12 oz Alani can.
The short version
Keep it cool, keep it out of hot cars, hand-clean when needed, and match the size to your can. That's really all it takes to keep your ghost looking (and fitting) its best.
